How a Intelligent Double Girder Grab Crane Handles Slag in Steel-Making Plant ?

1. Project Background

Kingda crane intelligent double girder grab crane for slag handling is a new type lifting crane, it can be controlled by cab, by radio, by semi-automatic, by fully automatic or central control room.
Fitted with 3D scanner, motor encoder, PLC, data communication system and central processing system, it becomes an independent operation equipment, no need personal assistance, high efficiency, cost-saving.

Guangdong Shao Steel # 7 blast furnace is built up in 2013, have being service for the whole steel production plant as long as 10 years, it need a complete repair in hurry. At the same time, the plant owner-Guangdong Shao Steel wants to add intelligent elements to BF’S control system and operation. 
# 7 blast furnace is 2200m3, including 3 iron notches, 2 casting house (C1 casting house and C2 casting house). Every casting house fitted with 1 set slag handling system, every set slag handling system fitted with 2 sets intelligent double girder overhead grab crane for slag handling.

7. Equipment Maintenance

  1. 7.1 intelligent double girder overhead grab for slag handling crane is special equipment with high danger, there should be pointed workers to duty for operate, maintenance, inspect and repair, must be staff to guardianship when crane been carry out those operation; All limit switch, brake are in invalid, must repair and in valid again, then can be used again;
  2. 7.2 Before put into usage every time, operator must crane’s brake is in valid or not, guarantee it is in good working condition, then can carry out lifting operation;
  3. 7.3 When operate the crane, the crane operator must be concentrated, careful operation; Stricktly forbid grab to collide lifting limit switch, Stricktly forbid grab to collide pool wall, Stricktly forbid trolley to collide two side’s anti-collision;
  4. 7.4 After finishing operation every time, must move the grab out of the pool and 10cm from the ground, cut off main power, hang the switch box in specified place; Wash THE grab in clear, lubricate every transmission mechanism;
  5. 7.5 Every season, mechanic on leading, operative employees assist, to move the trolley to maintenance platform,
  6.     (1)  Clean hoist trolley and open winch device;
  7.     (2)  Fitted with bolts and nuts defecting component in enough;
  8.     (3)  Lubricate trolley’s connecting shaft and limit switch axle;
  9.     (4)  Test crane’s lifting limit switch and trolley’s left -right limit switch;
  10.     (5)  Inspect and adjust crane’s lifting-lowering brake, should be in reliable, sensitive, two brakes should in same
  11.           direction.
